Share what you have made

Put a setup here and any other Roto-Control owner can use it.

What is it?

Your file

One file per entry. If what you made is several files, a Max device and the setup that drives it for instance, zip them together and attach the zip.

A plugin setup only works on the channel layout it was made on. If the plugin comes in mono and stereo versions, export a setup from each and zip the two together, so it works for everyone.

Up to 5 MB. If it is bigger than that, or you would rather keep it on your own site, leave this empty and give a link below.

Your DAW shows it beside the plugin's name. A setup made on one version may not load on another, so people need to know which you used.

Which DAWs have you used it in?

Tick every one you have tried it in. The same plugin can show up under a different name in another DAW, and then the setup will not load.

Which Roto-Control firmware have you tested it on?

Optional. Shown on the page, so people on older firmware know where they stand. Add a minimum if there is one, such as "3.2.1, needs 2.0 or newer".

A link, if there is one

Its release page, repository, or wherever you document it. Give a link instead of a file and we send people to you rather than hosting a copy that goes stale. Both is fine too.

What to send

A setup for hardware or a plugin, a DAW integration, or anything you have built on the Roto-Control API.

The test is whether it would be useless without a Roto-Control. A Reaper script that drives one belongs here. A Reaper script that happens to send MIDI belongs wherever Reaper people already keep their scripts.

We can host the file itself, or just link to wherever you keep it. Whichever suits you: a link is better for anything you update often.

Getting the file

For a setup: select it on your unit, then choose File > Export in ROTO-SETUP. You get a single .json holding every mapping, every color and every step label.

For a plugin with mono and stereo versions, export one setup from each and zip the two together. The Roto treats them as two different plugins, so either file on its own only works in one of them.

For anything else, send whatever you would send a friend: a zip of what you built, or just a link to where you keep it.

Everything the file already knows, we read out of it, so you never type a CC number twice.

What happens next

Somebody reads it to check it is labeled correctly, then it goes up under your username, and appears on your profile alongside anything else you have shared. Your page draws the panel straight from the file, page by page, and we write the description from it too, so you do not have to.

We do not test it on hardware ourselves. The page shows whichever answer you gave above.
